From the Publisher:

Being trapped under house arrest in a haunted Victorian seems like a Halloween nightmare. But not when Silvana’s got three VERY sizzling locals to keep her company…

Inheriting my great-grandfather’s mansion seemed like the perfect escape from my troubled past, especially since I could renovate while under house arrest. But when I left warm, sunny Miami for a cold house deep in the New Hampshire wilderness? I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

Enter Cyrus, the leather-clad, motorcycle-riding loner who just so happens to have contracting experience. Between his piercing ice blue eyes and those of his broad-shouldered, just-as-gorgeous friend Nolan, the sheriff’s deputy, the two of them are willing to take turns keeping me in line.

Then there’s Hudson, spiritualist and amateur ghost-hunter, the third friend to round out their hot little trio. With jet black hair and dark, glimmering eyes, I find myself melting into a puddle whenever I’m around him. Or any of them, really. But especially when all three are with me at once.

It’s all fun and games until my past shows up to drag me back into trouble, which was bound to happen. And the old Victorian my great-grandfather built holds secrets of its own, some of which are as fascinating as they are terrifying.

Can a girl find love wearing an ankle-monitor with a radius three beautiful hunks wide? Or am I doomed to spend Halloween in my haunted house in the darkened wood all alone?

THE SWITCHING HOUR is a full-length reverse harem Halloween romance filled tons of tricks and treats and autumn-style goodness. If you like cozy new adult holiday romance and jaunts through the woods at midnight? You just found your favorite new RH story. HEA Guaranteed!

The audiobook for THE SWITCHING HOUR is available on Audible, Amazon, and Apple Books.

New Release: WE WALK: LIFE WITH SEVERE AUTISM

Audiobook cover for WE WALK: LIFE WITH SEVERE AUTISM by Amy S. F. Lutz; the cover background has lines of brilliant colors in purple, pink, green and yellow, with the title in white lettersMy 70th audiobook released yesterday, and it’s the one I’m most proud of.

WE WALK: LIFE WITH SEVERE AUTISM by Amy S.F. Lutz is one of those books that makes you think from all sides and feel with every emotion, about humanity. All its quirks, all its flaws, all its struggles, and all its joys.

Judith Newman’s review in the New York Times affirms WE WALK “clears a path for us toward kindness and understanding” for people with autism.

Indeed it does.

I’m honored to have narrated this memoir/biography about Amy and her son Jonah.

From the Publisher:

In this collection of beautiful and raw essays, Amy S. F. Lutz writes openly about her experience – the positive and the negative – as a mother of a now 21-year-old son with severe autism. Lutz’s human emotion drives through each moment and challenges commonly held ideas that define autism either as a disease or as neurodiversity. We Walk is inspired by her own questions: What is the place of intellectually and developmentally disabled people in society? What responsibilities do we, as citizens and human beings, have to one another? Who should decide for those who cannot decide for themselves? What is the meaning of religion to someone with no abstract language? Exploring these questions, We Walk directly – and humanly – examines social issues such as inclusion, religion, therapeutics, and friendship through the lens of severe autism.

In a world where public perception of autism is largely shaped by the “quirky geniuses” featured on television shows like The Big Bang Theory and The Good Doctor, We Walk demands that we center our debates about this disorder on those who are most affected by its impacts.

WE WALK is available on Amazon, Audible, and (soon) on iTunes/Apple Books.

A lifelong friendship that became a rivalry. Three gorgeous specters of my past, hellbent on winning me back. Who knew coming home could be so deliciously complicated?

When the funeral of a childhood friend brings Kayla back to North Glade, she’s forced to face the very reasons she left. And when three sizzling exes reveal they still harbor feelings for her? The men come up with a very unique way of determining who gets their shot.

There’s Warren…her first in every way. Whiskey-brown eyes. A lady-killing smile and a roguishly handsome face, set upon shoulders to die for.

Then there’s Luke, tall, blond, and perfect. Warren’s best friend…at least up until he and Kayla shared that smoldering hot summer together, just after their breakup.

Finally, there’s Adrian, the brooding tattooed god. Thick black hair with mountains of muscle; a friend with benefits so raw and savage Kayla could never hope to resist – nor would she ever want to.

Choosing between them becomes an impossibility…until a very unorthodox solution presents itself. One that leaves Kayla breathless and filled with butterflies, while fulfilling every last one of her far-flung fantasies.

But North Glade still harbors its own share of mysteries, as outside forces begin aligning against their tight-knit little group. Will Kayla stay long enough for one of her suitors to win her heart? Or will a more unconventional arrangement present itself…one where she gets to eat her cake and have it too?

New Release: IT’S RAINING MEN

Contemporary Romantic Comedy

Anyone like RomCom’s?

Yeah? Me too. Especially ones that take place in Chicago, have wicked-smart younger Gen X pop culture references and have protagonists who basically are. . . . a fictional version of me.

Well, I’m happy to announce that IT’S RAINING MEN by Julie Hammerle (a RomCom that fits that description!) is now available!

I had a just a few (read: a hundred) retakes due to giggles and tears (not because I cried, it was dust in my eye, shut up) in the booth while recording. I hope you giggle too while listening.

Thanks so much to Tantor Audio for the opportunity!

From the Publisher:

Don’t drink and text. Even on the cusp of 40, I had to learn that the hard way. After discovering my best friend, who I was supposed to grow old and single with, got engaged, I drowned my loneliness in one too many Old Fashioneds and woke up with 39 responses from every available man in my phone.

Through the absolute mortification of 37 rejections, shockingly, I realize two men have said yes. Behind Bachelor Door #1 is Rob, my old high school crush: the comfortable, dependable boy-next-door. Behind Bachelor Door #2 is Darius, the exciting, flashy news reporter about to hit it big. Does this mean I’ll have to get out of my yoga pants and actually go on dates now?

Dax, the local bartender who got me into this disaster in the first place – remember the Old Fashioneds? – can’t believe I’ve given up on finding true love. What does a tattooed, broody 20-something know about carving out a future for yourself, anyway?

Too bad the further into this hot mess I get, the less I know about who I am. And I’m going to have to figure out exactly what I need if I ever want to find a true happily ever after.

Contains mature themes.

IT’S RAINING MEN is available wherever audiobooks are sold, including Audible.

New Release: LATCHER

Horror

Just in time for traveling back “home” to visit family: horror novel LATCHER by Mike Dineen is now on audio. It forms an attachment. . .

This book was absolutely chilling to narrate.

And I loved every minute of it. It’s one of my favorite narrations to date.

Hope you enjoy it too!

From the Publisher:

How do you let go of the past if the past won’t let go of you?

When her abusive mother goes missing, Joanna Smith sees an opportunity to lay the past and the inner monsters that still haunt her to rest. But while en route to investigate her mother’s whereabouts, Jo and her sister, Amanda, become stranded and are forced to journey into a forest that grows stranger and deadlier the closer they get to the house they grew up in.

To survive this homecoming reunion, Jo must untangle herself from secrets that have plagued her family for generations as she faces a skin-crawling possibility: Her inner monsters might not just be in her head.

“Chockful of gory detail, eerie family secrets, and menacing entities, author Mike Dineen’s Latcher will satisfy horror fans with its fast-paced action and gutsy protagonist who is as formidable as the evil stalking her.” (IndieReader)

You can listen to LATCHER on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes.

New Release: THE HISTORY OF WOMAN SUFFRAGE VOL 1 1848-1861

Nonfiction History

I’m overjoyed to announce that THE HISTORY OF WOMAN SUFFRAGE VOL 1 (1848-1861) is now available on audio. This volume was written by the leaders of the suffrage movement, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, and Matilda Joslyn Gage, and narrated by a full cast of modern-day strong and courageous women.

It’s hard to believe that women had to fight for their inalienable right to vote to be recognized and codified into law. But there they were, fighting for years. Let us not take it for granted.

These incredibly intelligent, sensitive, persistent and honorable women had the sense (of course they did) to publish the details of their fight for women’s suffrage in multiple volumes, so later generations would not forget. An incredible group of women narrators put that into audio format, so it can be heard loud and clear.

Publisher’s Summary

History of Woman Suffrage is a window into the suffragette movement, a front-row seat to the fight for women’s rights. This historic work draws a dramatic picture of the massive effort and struggle that took place in America from 1848 to 1861 through letters and documents, as well as uncensored thoughts and ideas from women during this evolving time, all rich with lively wit.

The writing is vivid and compelling, with rousing speeches defending the legitimacy of the request for suffrage and strong, witty defense against those too comfortable in the status quo. Documented in great detail through primary sources, notes, letters, newspapers, and journals, this first volume spans 40 years of key insight into the suffrage movement.

Originally compiled and edited by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, and Matilda Joselyn Gage, History of Woman Suffrage, Volume 1 starts from the very beginning. Now available as an audiobook for the first time, History of Woman Suffrage is even more poignant today. As the effort for true women’s equality continues for us, we can listen to our foresisters make history in the face of what they overcame.

New Release: THE SHIFT

You guys! I am so excited to announce THE SHIFT by Gary Foster, CSO of Weight Watchers, is now available!

I’m so grateful to Guy Oldfield at Macmillan Audio for asking me to tell the success stories of multiple women throughout the book. Weight loss and weight maintenance is HARD (believe me, I know this), and hearing how one little thing – mindset – changed that for these women is really inspiring!

Thank you also to Gary Foster for writing about using mindset first to meet your goals instead of the prescription of “eat this, not that.” *This* I can get on board with.

And lastly, I can now say I have narrated a book with the amazing Gary Bennett and Joel Richards!

From the Publisher:

This program includes an introduction read by the author.

Gary Foster’s The Shift is not about what to eat or not eat. It’s not about when to eat. It’s about building thinking habits, proven through science, that help you lose weight.

Can you lose weight before you value your body? Are big goals needed to achieve big results? Do you deserve to go it alone because you got yourself into this? Is it possible for a weight-loss journey to avoid setbacks? Must gratitude and happiness wait until you’ve succeeded at your wellness goal?

No. To all of it.

Dr. Foster’s seven mindset shifts show you how – and why – to treat yourself in a way that feels better and primes you for likelier success. His argument and the techniques in each chapter, built on years of research and breakthroughs in cognitive behavioral therapy and positive psychology, can lead to results on the scale – but, more important, in your own thinking. The Shift flips old-fashioned weight-loss theory on its head, training you to recognize when your thinking is taking you away from your goals, to focus on action rather than outcome, and to value non-scale victories more than the number on the digital display. It’s evidence-based motivation – and it really works!

The seven mindset shifts include learning to enhance the traits you like best about yourself, leaning into your strengths, appreciating the power of small steps (and more frequent reward), finding your people, and truly relaxing into happiness and gratitude.

“Diet thinking” isn’t habit-forming; mindset thinking is. And muscular yet kind mental habits, like the ones found in The Shift, are key to permanent, positive change.

You can listen to the audiobook of THE SHIFT on Audible, or pretty much anywhere audiobooks are sold.

Michigan’s Manistee National Forest.
Missing girls.
The supernatural.

Whoo-ee, I am glad I narrated this one during the daylight hours. There *may* be just a few parallels in my own life with this one. . .

As she sits by a roaring bonfire, a man stands and tells the story of two 14-year-old friends who walked into the Manistee National Forest – only one of them walked back out.

New Release: HOUSE BOUND

Long time romance readers (especially Harlequin. . . ), this one is for you.

The audiobook for Anne Stuart’s HOUSE BOUND, updated from its original publication, and part of the Bad Boys series, is now available, narrated by me!

From the Publisher:

Anne Kirkland is in love
with a home. The 200-year-old stone mansion has been in her family for generations and nothing is more important to her. A renaissance woman, who doesn’t realize how gifted she is, Anne has poured her blood, sweat and tears, along with every penny she has, into restoring the house that she owns along with her father and siblings. But the ravages of time and nature have taken a toll, and despite her best efforts, Anne is losing the war.

Noah Grant comes to the Kirkland house under false pretenses. Pretending to be one of Anne’s sister’s flings, Noah has really come to check out the house for his former father-in-law. Noah represents a group of interested buyers. With the rest of Anne’s family on board, the sale of the house is imminent, and only Anne’s stubborn determination is standing in the way.

Anne and Noah are instantly drawn to each other, despite the obstacles standing in their way, but can Anne ever forgive him once she learns the truth?

Editor’s Note:

Home is Where the Heart Is…

A recurring theme in Anne Stuart’s work is the importance of home–the true home, the one the hero only reveals when he trusts the heroine enough. In House Bound, the importance of home is the crux of the plot, pitting a woman who cares about her familial home against a man representing potential buyers. Toss in family conflict, subterfuge, and the hero’s gradual unraveling and you’ve got a classic Anne Stuart novel.

The audiobook for HOUSE BOUND is available on Scribd.
